		<description>It&#039;s not too hard (or expensive) to correct a floor out of level - you go under the crawlspace, and find the low point, and put a 4x4 across it that&#039;s long enough to cover the sagging area. You prop this up in the middle by setting a concrete pier on the ground, and then putting an adjustable screw jack on it. They sell them at Lowes for around $20. 

You then adjust the screw jack very, very slowly (about 1/8&quot; per day) until it&#039;s level. Any faster than that and you&#039;re hurt the house - it needs time to settle a bit after each leveling.
